    DEVPRAYAG, a municipality in Tehri Garhwal in the state of Uttarakhand & is considered one of the holiest prayag or confluence, where R. Ganga is born after R. Bhagirathi & R. Alakananda meets together. R. Alakananda rises at the confluence & feet of theSatopanth & Bhagirathkharak glacier in Uttarakhand near the border with Tibet. The headwaters of R. Bhagirathi r formed at Gaumukh ,at the foot of Gangotri Glacier & Khatling glacier in Garhwal Himalayas...
